Great design is key regardless of channel, medium or technology. But in today’s market the growing technological and mobile generations demand whatever is created for print must also have an interactive component... on every digital device. How does one transfer centuries of institutional design knowledge and expertise to work effectively across all platforms? The process needs to begin with design thinking, a solution-focused methodology that starts with the end goal in mind, instead of a problem.
Join us to find out why vision trumps all of our five senses; how and what people remember (or don't) and why emotion is such an important factor in everything we design. We'll review case studies of real projects for a variety of audiences, goals and outcomes…. and how not to silo yourself into just one category. We'll even clear up the confusion about Design Elements and the Principles of Design… with examples of how to use them!
